### How to make an offer or buy a plate

1. Browse available plates on the marketplace. 
2. Click **“Make Offer”** or **“Buy Now.”** 
3. Enter your offer price (if applicable). 
4. If the seller accepts, you’ll be prompted to complete payment through **SecurePlate Escrow**. 

💡 *Once payment is made, the seller will begin the JPJ transfer process.*

### What happens after I make payment

- Your payment is held securely in **escrow**. 
- The seller will proceed with the ownership transfer at JPJ. 
- You’ll receive progress updates via the order detail page. 
- Once transfer is confirmed, SecurePlate releases funds to the seller. 

### Understanding the escrow process

Escrow ensures both parties are protected:

1. **Payment Secured:** Buyer pays; SecurePlate holds the amount. 
2. **Ownership Transfer:** Seller completes the official JPJ plate transfer. 
3. **Confirmation:** Buyer verifies receipt of plate ownership. 
4. **Funds Released:** SecurePlate releases funds to seller minus service fees. 

This process guarantees that funds and ownership change hands safely and transparently.

### How to confirm ownership transfer

After you’ve received confirmation from JPJ or proof of transfer from the seller:

1. Log in to your dashboard → **My Purchases.** 
2. Select the relevant order and click **Confirm Transfer.** 
3. Once confirmed, SecurePlate releases payment to the seller. 

If you don’t confirm within 3 days, our system automatically reviews the transfer proof before releasing funds. We will get in touch with you via phone call if your late to confirm the transfer from your side.

### Cancelling or modifying a purchase

- You can cancel your offer before making payment at any time. 
- After payment, cancellation is only allowed if: 
  - The seller fails to initiate the transfer, or 
  - There’s a verified dispute (see Refund section below). 
- Modifications (e.g., changing ownership details) can be requested by contacting support before transfer completion. But we strongly suggest you to use your personal verified details to complete the transfer. 
- Once order is paid, the seller will receive your verified details to perform the JPJ transfer.
